These are some of the things I do:
- Be your on-call CTO. You may not require a full-time CTO yet, but it sure can be handy to have me on speed-dial.
- Assistance with procurement: How to make sense of all the options you have when letting third parties develop custom software for your organisation?
- Legacy improvement: dealing with ageing software and extending its life-expectancy.
- Architecture: Because some early mistakes in a project (even in the age of Agile) are just too hard to correct. Better minimize them.
And when push comes to shove, I write code and deliver the finished product.
